Sean Cooper, New Hope City Police Department

Here is my character for 5150: New Beginnings.

Sean Cooper is an experienced detective in the famous Gang and Narcotic Division of the New Hope City Police Department (NHCPD).

The deployment of the New Hope City Police Department (NHCPD) Gang and Narcotics Division (GND) is a revolutionary change in law enforcement strategy. The GND is one component of the NHCPD Gang Initiatives “total solution” to combat the gang and drug problem (especially xenos) in the City of New Hope.

Detective Sean Cooper
Sean Cooper is a STAR (p.6 of the 5150: New Beginnings Rulebook). Since I want a little challenge I don't use all the star attributes: Leader (p.32), Star Power (p.6), Larger than Life (p.7), Cheating Death (p.7), Free Will (p.7), Bonus Dice (p.7), Choose one Attribute (p.9), Never OG (p.45), Choosing Target (p.47).
I roll two attributes: Agile and Sure Handed. So Sean Cooper is quite athletic.

GENDER : M

CLASS : Police
MOTIVATION: Duty
ATTRIBUTE n°1: Agile
ATTRIBUTE n°2: Sure Handed
SKILLS: Fit4, Pep3, Sav5, Sci0
PROFESSION: Detective

It's note very usual but not forbidden (p.96), so Sean Cooper had access to blended enhancements (p.99). He has a computer processor unit (CPU) imbedded in his head with a Memory Rating of 5 (MR5). He has three enhancing programs (loops, p.100): Infrared Vision, Lock On, Imaging.

Sean Cooper lives in the Space Port Area (I rolled 3 for the Law Level of his apartment).

- Dart pistol
- CPU MR5
- loop Imaging (MR1)
- loop Lock On (MR1)
- loop IR Vision (MR1)

LUCENTUM #4: This is the End...

After fierce fighting, the KRA'VAK were down to an unexplored area of the planet. They are, curiously, trying to drill mines. They actually seek to discover ancient artifacts: the Titans (Golgoth in Kra'Vak language). It's the last assault. The HELLJUMPERS have mustered their walkers.

The KRA'VAK have two squads of line troopers (Hishen QRS) and one squad of Garn (Grath QRS). They are supported by two Titans, one of them is offline for 1d3+1 turns.

The HELLJUMPERS have two squads of line troopers (Star Army QRS), four Hammer Light Battle Armors and Two Destrier Medium Battle Armor. One Fulcrum Medium Battle Armor will arrive as reinforcement later.

I plan to make available for download all the troop cards (Helljumpers & Kra'Vak).

The Helljumpers can call a Bombing Run (Taken versus Leader's REP in LOS):

PASS 2D6
PASS 1D6
PASS 0D6
Roll on the Bombing Run table (p. 62) with 2d6.
Roll on the Bombing Run table (p. 62) with 1d6.
No Response. Try next turn.

Since the Helljumpers are fighting Gigantic opponents I made changes in the Penetration Table in order to take into account the size of the vehicle. You can download the new Table on my 5150:SA page.

THE BATTLE
We fought the battle on a 180x120cm table with 12 sections.

I have confidence in the power of my titans. So I don't wait for the second to be ready and I move Titan 1 forward.
Titan 2 is offline.

A bad idea, because he was hit by a Destrier's lucky shot.
The Titan is immobilized!
Helljumpers are advancing and the second Titan is quickly fully functionnal.
Advance on sector 9

Advance of Titan 2

The Destriers try to fire again...
Titan 2' s weapons are now in range. A Destrier is obliterated.

But the high mobility of the Helljumpers' walkers allows them to attack on the side.

The Titan is hit twice. Its weapons are destroyed.
The Fulcrum gives the "coup de grâce".
The Kra'Vak are fleeing.

AFTER THE BATTLE
The Helljumpers act as a free company but are in fact a cover regiment for Star Army Black Ops. So, after the battle, Star Army heavy freighters landed to recover all the hidden weapons.

Figures:
- Helljumper: GZG
- Kra'Vak: GZG
- Garn: Khurasan Miniatures
- Titan: Rackham (AT43)

Helljumpers Exo Armor

Elite Helljumpers troops wear powerful Exo armor.
As usual, I made a 5150: Star Army sheet for these troops. The minis are from Ground Zero Games.

ARMADILLO Support

Each Helljumpers platoon has two Armadillo supports to give a bit of punch. As all Helljumpers troops, they also can be dropped from very high altitude.
The minis are from the Heavy Gear Blitz range.

A solo campaign for 5150: New Beginnings

I am preparing a solo campaign for 5150: New Beginnings. This game is awesome, perfect synthesis between the miniature wargame and role playing game. Its creator, Ed Teixeira, talks about "immersive game" and it is the case.

The game allows you to start a campaign with a few dice rolls. But every good player loves to prepare a background as thorough as possible. To help me find the inspiration I buy some old RPG books (some have more than 20 years!).

KRA'VAK POWER!

The Alien Studies Institute (ASI) located in Gaea Prime used to think that the KRA'VAK were a clone race like the Hishen (5150:SA, p.75). Recent studies showed that they are saurians.
Because of their very advanced weapons and starships the Kra'Vak seem to have been a very powerful civilization. Their planet is still unknown. The powerful GARN are their allies.
They launches frequent pirate raids on an uncontrolled area of space (the Fourth Ring).

All the minis are from Ground Zero Games except the Garn, from Khurasan Miniatures.

FULCRUM Battle Armor

The FULCRUM Battle Armor is heavier than the DESTRIER. It's a great asset for the Helljumpers (as usual to play with 5150:SA).
The miniatures are from Rackham (Shock Tac Arms). I took the idea to use these minis from Spacejacker.

Size comparison: Fulcrum, Destrier, Hammer, Grunt

15mm Sons of Anubis

The Jaffa are elite troops. But the Goa'uld have other warriors: the Sons of Anubis for example. These that I intend to play in a 5150:SA campaign in the Stargate Universe are Protolene Scouts from Critical Mass Games.

DESTRIER Battle Armor

Here is a reinforcement for the Helljumpers: the Destrier Battle Armor.

This highly mobile armor has the following characteristics (for 5150: Star Army)
